Room was bright and airy. Double security entry was great for peace of mind that folk couldn't walk into the corridor off the street. Handy for all town centre shops and restaurants and the catherdral. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable. I didn't have a full meal, but the bowl of soup I had in the hotel restaurant was lovely. I really enjoyed my stay.
There was an event in a building opposite on Friday night which was noisy late into the night, but completely outwith the hotels control. While they could not resolve the problem, the hotel staff were very good and did try. The night porter went outside to go and investigate and tells me that it is not a usual occurance.
Very comfortable room--excellent breakfast -good choice of food-Good central location Hotel very clean and well presented
Very nice hotel, good location and very friendly / prosessional
My modern room was very pleasant amidst the old charm of the rest of the buildingBreakfast pleasant
our 1st room was unfortunately still occupied when we went into it which was not good but the hotel staff upgraded us and that was great
room was still occupied , we had to be relocated .. although upgraded it was up several steep stairs
The hotel is very central within the town centre. Access to the shopping centre, restaurants and pubs all within walking distance. All transport links into Peterborough are excellent as the rail station and the bus depot are all within easy walking distances. If travelling by car the free car park enables you to explore the surrounding areas.
Very good value for money,I would recommend to my friends.Staff very friendly overall a very good hotel
Reception staff swift and attentive
Had to ask twice for coffee at breakfast. Initial waiter didn't reappear and nor did the coffe. 2nd request was slow, but coffee came with an apology! One-way system doesn't help a first-timer find the hotel's car park.
We booked the room at an half price deal, which seems a fair price ,the hotel has a nice old world feel about it, the staff were friendly, we met another couple here for a drink before going out but due to the bar prices they refused to pay your prices and we ended up at a local bar.the rooms are clean well equipped for the half price,we didnt use the facilities and rarely do when staying somewhere new so for me the room has very little more attraction than a premier inn ,which is just as clean and well presented but charge less for a night and their breakfasts are eat all you can manage for £7:50 where the Bulls weigh in at about £13:00 .
An over priced bar,our room was noisey due to people emptying out from night clubs ,bars etc? The televisions appear to have had only 5 channels which seemed to have been tuned in randomly although we hadnt come all that way to watch television as it was supplied I would expect it to work properly.
The excellent staff particularly the restaurant staff.
The noise from other ares near the hotel on Saturday night. This was a disturbing problem, which we also expereanced on a previous visit.
Very good quality decor, large comfortable room & bathroom facilities, tasty breakfast!
Night was disturbed a bit by night club noises, but not sure if this was on-site or nearby.
The staff were very welcoming. There was nothing that was too much trouble. Very engaging and friendly in a professional manner. Excellent.
We were travelling with a temporary wheelchair user - no lift meant that accessing the bedrooms was difficult. We ordered an evening meal - which was not very good. We had to return the chips as they were hard and cold. Other meals lacked flavour and not value for money.
Very friendly and good location to the shops
Location was perfect for Christmas shopping and for going out in the evening. Lovely hotel with warm atmosphere.
I feel the only fault with the hotel was the smell. On entering the hotel on Friday around 6pm I was over powered with the stench of boiled vegetables. I noticed cauliflower soup on the menu so that must have been the culprit, The smell reminded me of an old peoples home.
th quality of the entrance, reception, lounge & bar & dining areas
Some rooms have very unsuitable outlook! Like ours! eg a brick wall approximately 2 feet from our window! How did that satisfy the planning authorities!?
